The ifm OF5021 (OFS-OOKG/US-100) is a through-beam sensor transmitter in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 74 mm long. ifm specifies a range of up to 4 m. It works with infrared light (880 nm). The light spot is at most 700 mm in diameter at maximum range. As the transmitter of a through-beam pair it has no switching output; it runs on 10…36 V DC and connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts). It has a brass white bronze coated housing and a PMMA front lens and is rated IP65 for -25…60 °C ambient.
