Beckhoff KL2542 is a 2-channel DC motor output terminal in the Bus Terminal system for DC brush motors and inductive loads at 8 to 48 V DC, delivering 2 x 3.5 A for both channels together, short-circuit and thermal-overload proof. It works with a PWM clock frequency of 35 kHz (180° phase shift) and a duty cycle of 0 to 100 %, with up to 12-bit current and 16-bit speed resolution; motors are adapted via the controller registers or the KS2000 configuration software. It has 500 V isolation between K-bus and field potential, draws typically 100 mA from the K-bus and is rated IP20 for 0 to 55 °C.
