The ifm OJ5189 (OJPGFNKG/SO/AS) is a retro-reflective sensor for the detection of transparent objects in a rectangular housing measuring 35 x 11 x 24 mm. ifm specifies a range of 0.2…1.5 m with prismatic reflector 50 x 50 mm E20722. It works with red light (660 nm) and has a polarization filter. The light spot is at most 64 mm in diameter at maximum range. It has 1 NPN switching output. The switching output is programmable for light-on or dark-on mode, switches at up to 2000 Hz and carries up to 200 mA. It runs on 10…30 V DC and connects through an M8 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts). It has an ABS housing and a glass front lens and is rated IP67 for 0…60 °C ambient.
