The ifm KQ1001 (KQ-5xxxNFPKG/IO/0,1M/US) is a continuous capacitive level sensor in a rectangular housing measuring 255 x 28 x 16.7 mm, for level measurement behind non-metallic and non-conductive surfaces. ifm lists it for dry bulk material, aqueous solutions and oils, but not for very adhesive media. It measures over a range of up to 200 mm within a detection range of 228 mm, with set points from 5…95 % in steps of 1 %, a repeatability of 2 % and a linearity deviation of 1 % of the final value. It has three PNP/NPN switching outputs rated at 200 mA and IO-Link 1.1; ifm notes that on a class B IO-Link master, outputs OUT2 and OUT3 must be turned off. It runs on 10…30 V DC (18…30 V DC in IO-Link mode). The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through a 0.1 m PUR cable ending in an M12 connector (A-coded, 5 contacts) and is rated IP65 for -20…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Supplied with adhesive tape for mounting.
