The ifm IS5070 (IS-3004-BPKG) is an inductive proximity sensor in a rectangular housing measuring 28 x 10 x 16 mm, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm. The real sensing range is 4 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…3.24 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 200 mA and up to 2000 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through a 2 m PVC cable with 3 x 0.14 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. ifm lists it for use where space is restricted.
