The ifm IB5169 (IB-2020-FRKG/US-104-IRF) is an inductive proximity sensor in a smooth tubular Ø 34 mm housing 95 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 20 mm. The real sensing range is 20 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…16.2 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 250 mA and up to 200 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a PBT housing with an orange PBT sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. Supplied with one mounting clamp.
