The ifm IB5124 (IBE2020-FRKG) is an inductive proximity sensor in a smooth tubular Ø 34 mm housing 98 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 20 mm. The real sensing range is 20 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…16.2 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 300 mA and up to 300 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through terminals for conductors up to 2.5 mm² in a terminal chamber with an M20 x 1.5 cable gland for cable Ø 7…13 mm and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Supplied with one mounting clamp.
