The ifm IC5005 (ICE3040-FPKG) is an inductive proximity sensor in a rectangular housing measuring 90 x 60 x 40 mm, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 40 mm, adjustable, with a factory setting of 40 mm. The real sensing range is 40 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…32.4 mm. The PNP switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 250 mA and up to 15 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a PPE housing, connects through terminals for conductors up to 2.5 mm² in a terminal chamber with an M20 x 1.5 cable gland for cable Ø 7…13 mm and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Supplied with one screwdriver and four spring washers.
