The ifm IB5125 (IB-3030-BPKG/US-104-DPS) is an inductive proximity sensor in a smooth tubular Ø 34 mm housing 95 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 30 mm. The real sensing range is 30 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…24.3 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 250 mA and up to 350 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a PBT housing with an orange PBT sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. Supplied with one mounting clamp.
