The ifm AL5246 (IOL AirBox 1x5/2 mono. 4x2DI) is an IO-Link AirBox: an IO-Link device that combines 8 digital inputs (PNP) with a pneumatic valve. The valve is a 1 x 5/2-way slide valve (free from overlapping) for compressed air, with an operating pressure range of 3…8 bar (43.5…116 psi), an air flow of 500 l/min at 6/5 bar and 8 mm tube fittings. It connects to a class A IO-Link master port and works to IO-Link revision 1.1 (COM2); the minimum process cycle time is 2.7 ms. It runs on 18…30 V DC. The housing measures 109 x 85 x 52 mm and is made of PA 6.6, for DIN rail mounting (TH35, EN 60715). It has four M12 connectors (A-coded, 5 contacts).
