The ifm AC5291 (ClassicLine 4DI-Y IP67) is an AS-Interface ClassicLine module with quick mounting technology for field installation. It has four digital inputs, with PNP inputs powered from AS-i. On the AS-i side it supports AS-i versions 2.11 and 3.0 with slave profile S-0.A.E and extended (A/B) addressing, and it works with AS-i masters of profile M2, M3 and M4. It runs on 26.5…31.6 V DC from the AS-i line, drawing up to 250 mA. The housing measures 103 x 45 x 44.7 mm and is made of PA. It connects to the AS-i flat cable by quick mounting and mounts on a TH35 DIN rail, has an M12 socket and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. ifm notes that the module also distributes the AS-i voltage. Supplied with the lower part and a flat cable blank for the unused cable entry.
