The ifm KI5030 (KI-2015-N/NI/1D/1G) is a capacitive NAMUR sensor in an M30 x 1.5 threaded housing 81 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm, adjustable, with a factory setting of 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10%. ifm gives correction factors of 0.4 for glass, 1 for water, 0.2 for ceramics and 0.2 for PVC. It is a NAMUR sensor for connection to a switching amplifier, with a nominal voltage of 8.2 V DC and a supply range of 7.5…15 V DC, and a switching frequency of 40 Hz. ifm lists it for hazardous areas with ATEX marking II 1G Ex ia IIB T6 Ga, for connection to certified intrinsically safe circuits with maximum values of U = 15 V / I = 50 mA / P = 120 mW. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through a 2 m PVC cable with 2 x 0.5 mm² conductors and is rated IP65 for -20…60 °C ambient.
