The ifm KG0009 (KG-2008-ABOA/NI) is a capacitive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 84 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 8 mm. The real sensing range is 8 mm ± 10% and the operating distance is 0…6.5 mm. ifm gives correction factors of 0.4 for glass, 1 for water, 0.2 for ceramics and 0.2 for PVC.
