The ifm KD5018 (KDE3060-FPKG/NI) is a capacitive sensor in a housing measuring 105 x 80 x 40 mm, for non-flush mounting. Its sensing range is 60 mm; the real sensing range is 60 mm ± 10% and the operating distance is 0…48.6 mm. ifm gives correction factors of 0.4 for glass, 1 for water, 0.2 for ceramics and 0.2 for PVC. The PNP switching output is configurable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 250 mA and up to 10 Hz, on 10…36 V DC. The sensor has a modified PPE housing and connects through terminals for conductors up to 2.5 mm² with an M20 x 1.5 cable gland for cable Ø 7…13 mm, and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient. Supplied with four spring washers and four cylinder screws.
