The ifm IF5957 (IFK3004BAPKG/US-104) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 60 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm, which ifm classes as an increased sensing range. The real sensing range is 4 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…3.24 mm. The PNP switching output is normally closed, rated at 200 mA and up to 700 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection.
