The ifm AC2910 (ProcessLine 8DI IP69K) is an AS-Interface ProcessLine module for sanitary and wet areas in the food industry. It has eight digital inputs, with PNP inputs (type 2 to IEC 61131-2) powered from AS-i. On the AS-i side it supports AS-i version 2.1 with slave profile S-0.A.E and extended (A/B) addressing, and it works with AS-i masters of profile M2, M3 and M4. It runs on 26.5…31.6 V DC from the AS-i line, drawing up to 500 mA. The tubular unit is Ø 137.3 mm and 80 mm long, with a stainless steel (1.4404 / 316L) threaded bush. It sits on a mounting base, has an M12 socket (A-coded, 5-pin) and is rated IP68 and IP69K for -5…70 °C ambient. ifm notes that it occupies two slave addresses and that the round cable connected to AS-i should not be longer than 2 m. Supplied with an M12 protective cap (E70297).
