The Allen-Bradley 2198-ABQE is a encoder output module from Rockwell's Kinetix servo drive accessory range. It is a DIN-rail mounted, EtherNet/IP network-based standalone module that outputs encoder pulses to a customer-supplied peripheral device, for example cameras used in line-scan vision systems, and supports real and virtual axes with integrated motion on EtherNet/IP. Output signals are differential (RS422) or single-ended, with a 12…30V DC output supply for single-ended outputs. Control power is 21.6…26.4V DC (0.3 A max) and it weighs 0.50 kg. The 2198-K57CK-D15M connector kit (one per output connector) and the 2198-KITCON-ABQE connector and end-anchor set are ordered separately.
