The Allen-Bradley 1794-VHSC is a FLEX I/O very high-speed counter module with 2 incremental quadrature encoder interfaces, each with A, B and Z inputs for 5V DC or 15…24V DC, and 2 outputs. It works with the 1794-ACN15, 1794-ACNR15, 1794-AENT and 1794-AENTR adapters, draws 100 mA at 24V DC and is rated for 0…55 °C (32…131 °F). FLEX I/O modules plug into a terminal base unit that carries the field wiring, so a module can be removed and inserted under power without disturbing field wiring; one FLEX I/O adapter communicates with up to eight I/O modules.
