The Allen-Bradley 1794-IRT8 is a FLEX I/O thermocouple/RTD input module with 8 high-speed inputs for thermocouples (-40…+100 mV DC), 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTDs (0…325 mV DC) and a 0…500 Ω resistance range, with 14-bit resolution; a kit with 2 cold junction compensators is supplied. It draws 85 mA at 24V DC. FLEX I/O modules plug into a terminal base unit that carries the field wiring, so a module can be removed and inserted under power without disturbing field wiring; one FLEX I/O adapter communicates with up to eight I/O modules.
