The Allen-Bradley 1769-L31 is a 1769 modular CompactLogix controller with 512 KB of user memory and two RS-232 serial ports (channel 0 isolated, DF1, DH-485 or ASCII; channel 1 DF1 or DH-485, 38.4 Kbps max), supporting as many as 16 1769 Compact I/O modules. 1769 modular CompactLogix L3x controllers use 1769 Compact I/O in as many as three banks, take a 1784-CF128 CompactFlash card for nonvolatile memory and use a 1769-BA lithium battery; the controller must be the leftmost module in the first bank, with a power supply distance rating of 4 modules.
