The Allen-Bradley 1756-IRT8IK is a ControlLogix isolated RTD/Thermocouple analog input module for the 1756 chassis. It has eight isolated channels that can be set individually for RTD (1…500 Ω up to 8…4000 Ω) or thermocouple (-100…+100 mV, types B, C, D, E, J, K, N, R, S, T and TXK/XK (L)) inputs, with 24-bit sigma-delta conversion. The two 1756-CJC cold junction sensors for thermocouple use are ordered separately. It draws 150 mA at 24V DC from the backplane. Field wiring goes through a 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H removable terminal block, which is ordered separately. This K version adds conformal coating for harsh, corrosive environments. ControlLogix I/O modules can sit in any slot of a local ControlLogix chassis or in a remote chassis linked over EtherNet/IP or ControlNet, and their input data and output status can be shared by more than one controller.
