The Allen-Bradley 1756-IC16 is a ControlLogix DC (30…60V) input module for the 1756 chassis. It has 16 sinking inputs in two groups of eight for 48V DC signals, with an operating range of 30…60V DC at 55 °C (131 °F) or 30…55V DC at 60 °C (140 °F) and input time stamps to ±200 µs. It draws 100 mA at 5.1V DC and 3 mA at 24V DC from the backplane. Field wiring goes through a 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH removable terminal block, which is ordered separately. ControlLogix I/O modules can sit in any slot of a local ControlLogix chassis or in a remote chassis linked over EtherNet/IP or ControlNet, and their input data and output status can be shared by more than one controller.
