The Allen-Bradley 1734-485ASC is a POINT I/O serial interface module with 1 full-duplex RS-422/RS-485 channel at up to 38.4 Kbps. It lets a device with a serial output send up to 128 bytes of ASCII data to any network that POINT I/O supports, and draws 75 mA from the POINTBus. Like all POINT I/O modules, it plugs into a terminal base with a removable terminal block that carries the field wiring; the terminal base is not included and is ordered separately.
