The ifm LT8022 (LT0264B-B-00KSPKG/US) is a capacitive electronic level and temperature sensor for hydrous coolants, oils, oil-based media, water and media similar to water. The probe is 264 mm long with an active range of 195 mm and inactive ranges I1 / I2 of 53 / 16 mm; switch points can be set over 25…190 mm in 5 mm steps. ifm gives a measuring error of ± 5 % of the final value and requires a dielectric constant above 2; the medium temperature range is 0…35 °C (with climate tube E43100 35…65 °C), and the tank pressure is 0.5 bar when mounted with ifm mounting accessories. It also measures medium temperature over -20…90 °C, with a switch point accuracy of ± 1.5 K. ifm lists it as not suitable for extremely conductive media, adhering media, granulates, bulk material, acids and alkali. It provides 4 switching outputs (PNP/NPN) and IO-Link, with the switching outputs configurable as normally open or normally closed and rated at 200 mA, runs on 18…30 V DC and connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 7 contacts).
