The ifm LR3000 (LR0000B-BR34AMPKG/US) is a guided wave radar continuous level sensor for water, water-based media, oils and oil-based media. Probe lengths of 100…1600 mm can be used; ifm specifies a dielectric constant of at least 1.8, with a coaxial pipe needed for media between 1.8 and 5 such as oils. The process connection is a G 3/4 external thread, the pressure rating is 16 bar, the process temperature range is -25…80 °C and the wetted parts are stainless steel (1.4305 / 303), stainless steel (1.4435 / 316L) probe connection, PTFE, FKM and fiber-reinforced NBR seal. ifm gives a measuring error of ± 7 mm, a repeatability of ± 5 mm and a resolution of 1 mm. It provides 1 switching output (PNP), 1 analog output (4…20 mA or 0…10 V) and IO-Link, with the switching output configurable as normally open or normally closed and rated at 200 mA, runs on 18…30 V DC and connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts).
