The ifm KI0024 (KIE2015-FBOA/NI) is a capacitive proximity sensor in an M30 x 1.5 threaded housing 125 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm, adjustable, with a factory setting of 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10% and the operating distance is 0…12.1 mm. ifm gives correction factors of 0.4 for glass, 1 for water, 0.2 for ceramics and 0.2 for PVC. It is a two-wire sensor for 20…250 V AC/DC; the output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, with an AC load current of 200 mA and a switching frequency of 25 Hz on AC, or 200 mA and 40 Hz on DC. ifm specifies a fast-acting miniature fuse of 2 A or less in the supply. ifm specifies increased immunity to conducted radio frequency interference. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through terminals for conductors up to 2.5 mm² in a terminal chamber with an M20 x 1.5 cable gland for cable Ø 7…13 mm and is rated IP65 for -25…70 °C ambient. Supplied with two lock nuts.
