The ifm II5483 (IIA3015-BPKG/BS-301-APS) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M30 x 1.5 threaded housing 96 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…12.1 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 250 mA and up to 200 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a nickel-plated brass housing with a CO-PC sensing face, connects through an M18 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts) and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
