The ifm II5492 (IIA2015-FRKG/US-100-IRF) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M30 x 1.5 threaded housing 78 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…12.1 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 400 mA and up to 200 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with a PBT sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
