The ifm IE5350 (IEBC005-BSKG/V4A/AS) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 40 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 5 mm. The real sensing range is 5 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…4.05 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is normally closed, rated at 100 mA and up to 600 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.5 for aluminum and 0.4 for copper. The sensor has a stainless steel (1.4401 / 316) housing with an orange LCP sensing face, connects through an M8 connector (A-coded, 3 contacts) and is rated IP65 and IP67 for 0…60 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
