The ifm IE5345 (IEBC005-ASKG) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 36 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 5 mm. The real sensing range is 5 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…4.05 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is normally open, rated at 100 mA and up to 700 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with an orange PBT sensing face, connects through a 2 m PVC, black, Ø 3.4 mm cable with 3 x 0.14 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for 0…60 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
