The ifm IE5302 (IEB3002-BPKG/V4A/6M) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 40 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 2 mm. The real sensing range is 2 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…1.6 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 200 mA and up to 2000 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has an LCP housing, connects through a 6 m PVC cable with 3 x 0.14 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
