The ifm IE5288 (IEK3004-BPKG/US-104) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 60 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm, which ifm classes as an increased sensing range. The real sensing range is 4 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…3.25 mm.
