The ifm SM8000 (SMR11GGXFRKG/US-100) is a magnetic-inductive flow meter for conductive liquids, water and water-based media. It measures flow over 0.2…100 l/min (0.01…6 m³/h), with an accuracy of ± (0.8 % of the measured value + 0.5 % of the final value of the measuring range) and a repeatability of ± 0.2 % of the final value of the measuring range, and also measures medium temperature over -20…80 °C. ifm specifies a medium conductivity of at least 20 µS/cm and a viscosity below 70 mm²/s at 40 °C. ifm recommends an inlet run of 3 x DN and an outlet run of 1 x DN. The process connection is a G 1 external thread (DN25) with flat seal, the pressure rating is 16 bar, the wetted parts are stainless steel (1.4404 / 316L), PEEK and FKM and the medium temperature range is -10…70 °C. It provides 2 switching outputs (PNP/NPN), 1 analog output (4…20 mA or 0…10 V), pulse output and IO-Link, with the switching outputs configurable as normally open or normally closed and rated at 200 mA each, runs on 18…30 V DC and connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts).
