The ifm IY5045 (IYB30,8-BPKG/V2A/0,1M/AS-610) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M5 x 0.5 threaded housing 25 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 0.8 mm. The real sensing range is 0.8 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…0.65 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 100 mA and up to 2000 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a stainless steel (1.4305 / 303) housing with a POM sensing face, connects through an M8 connector (A-coded, 3 contacts, snap-fit locking) and is rated IP65 and IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. ifm lists it for use where space is restricted. Supplied with two lock nuts.
