The ifm IN5225 (IND3004DBPKG/US-100-DPV) is a dual inductive sensor for valve actuators in a rectangular housing measuring 40 x 26 x 26 mm, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm. The real sensing range is 4 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…3.25 mm. Its two PNP switching outputs are normally open, rated at 200 mA and up to 1300 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191.
