The ifm IG0400 (IGA2005-ARKA) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 82 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 5 mm. The real sensing range is 5 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…4.05 mm. It is a two-wire normally open sensor for 75…250 V AC or 20…250 V DC, with an AC load current of 100 mA and a switching frequency of 25 Hz on AC, or 100 mA and 50 Hz on DC. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass threaded sleeve with a PBT sensing face, connects through a 2 m PVC, Ø 4.9 mm cable with 2 x 0.34 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
