The ifm IE9203 (IEB2002BARKG/2M/PUR RT) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 42 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 2 mm. The real sensing range is 2 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…1.62 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is normally open, rated at 100 mA and up to 1000 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing, connects through a 2 m PUR cable with 2 x 0.14 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
