The ifm IE5381 (IEB3002BBPKG/V4A/US-104) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M8 x 1 threaded housing 50 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 2 mm, which ifm classes as an increased sensing range. The real sensing range is 2 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…1.62 mm. The PNP switching output is normally open, rated at 100 mA and up to 1000 Hz on 10…30 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection.
