The Allen-Bradley 1756-HSCK is a ControlLogix high-speed counter module for the 1756 chassis. It has two counters, each with A, B and Z (gate/reset) inputs, plus four outputs, for 5V or 12/24V DC signals; it counts up to 1 MHz in counter mode and 250 kHz in encoder mode. It draws 300 mA at 5.1V DC and 3 mA at 24V DC from the backplane. Field wiring goes through a 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H removable terminal block, which is ordered separately. This K version adds conformal coating for harsh, corrosive environments. ControlLogix I/O modules can sit in any slot of a local ControlLogix chassis or in a remote chassis linked over EtherNet/IP or ControlNet, and their input data and output status can be shared by more than one controller.
