The Allen-Bradley 1756-CN2R is a ControlNet bridge module from Rockwell's ControlLogix 1756 range. It is the redundant-media ControlNet bridge with two ControlNet BNC ports (A and B), drawing 1300 mA at 5.1 V DC and weighing about 0.293 kg. ControlNet runs at 5 Mbps with up to 99 nodes over 1786-RG6 quad-shield RG6 coaxial cable; the module supports 128 Logix connections (plus 3 reserved for redundant control) and has a USB port (12 Mbps) for temporary local programming. Rockwell now treats ControlNet as a legacy network. It installs in any slot of a 1756 ControlLogix chassis and takes one slot.
