The SMC MHZ2-16D is an MHZ2 series parallel-type air gripper with 2 fingers, 16 mm bore and double acting operation, in the basic body with standard fingers and side ports. Gripping force per finger is 34 N external and 45 N internal at 0.5 MPa with a 20 mm gripping point, and the opening/closing stroke is 6 mm. It works from 0.1 to 0.7 MPa at up to 180 c.p.m. with a repeatability of ±0.01 mm, needs no lubrication and weighs 115 g. A built-in magnet is fitted for solid state auto switches, which are ordered separately.
