The ifm SA5040 (SAD10XDBFRKG/US-100) is a flow sensor for water, glycol solutions, air and oils. Its setting range is 0.04…6 m/s and it also measures medium temperature over -20…90 °C. The probe is 45 mm long and 8 mm in diameter. The process connection is an M18 x 1.5 internal thread, the pressure rating is 100 bar, the wetted parts are stainless steel (1.4404 / 316L) and EPDM gasket and the medium temperature range is -20…90 °C. It provides 2 switching outputs (PNP/NPN), 1 analog output (4…20 mA), frequency output and IO-Link, with the switching outputs configurable as normally open or normally closed and rated at 250 mA each, runs on 18…30 V DC and connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts). The unit is Ø 34 mm and 142 mm long and is rated IP65 and IP67 for -40…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174189.
