The ifm IM5022 (IME3015BFPKG/2-LED) is an inductive proximity sensor in a rectangular housing measuring 40 x 40 x 121 mm, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 15 mm. The real sensing range is 15 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…12.1 mm. The sensing face can be set to 5 positions. The PNP switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 250 mA and up to 250 Hz on 10…36 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has an orange PPE sensing face and a black PPE connection module, connects through terminals for conductors up to 2.5 mm² in a terminal chamber with an M20 x 1.5 cable gland for cable Ø 7…13 mm and is rated IP65 for -25…80 °C ambient.
