The ifm IGT001 (IGK2012-ARKA/M/V4A/LS-104AK) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 70 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 12 mm. The real sensing range is 12 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…9.7 mm. It is a normally open sensor for 20…140 V AC/DC, with an AC load current of 80 (200 (…80 °C)) mA and a switching frequency of 25 Hz on AC, or 80; (200 (…80 °C)) mA and 300 Hz on DC. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a stainless steel (1.4404 / 316L) threaded sleeve with a PEEK sensing face, connects through a 1/2-inch connector (C-coded, 2 contacts) and is rated IP68 and IP69K for 0…100 °C ambient. ifm lists it for hygienic areas with regular cleaning and it has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
