The ifm IG5919 (IGC2012-FRKG/PH RT) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M18 x 1 threaded housing 56 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 12 mm. The real sensing range is 12 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…9.7 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 400 mA and up to 100 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.5 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.3 for copper. The sensor has a PBT housing, connects through a 2 m PUR cable with 2 x 0.5 mm² conductors and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient. Two lock nuts are included.
