The ifm IF5759 (IFA2002-FRKG/V4A/US-100-IRF RT) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 83 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 2 mm. The real sensing range is 2 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…1.6 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 400 mA and up to 1100 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.4 for brass, 0.3 for aluminum and 0.2 for copper. The sensor has a stainless steel (1.4571 / 316Ti) housing with a PBT sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 gold-plated contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient.
