The ifm IF5598 (IFA2002-FRKG/US-100-IRF) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 83 mm long, for flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 2 mm. The real sensing range is 2 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…1.6 mm. The PNP/NPN switching output is selectable as normally open or normally closed, rated at 300 mA and up to 1100 Hz on 10…55 V DC, with reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with a PC sensing face, connects through an M12 connector (A-coded, 4 contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…80 °C ambient. It has UL approval under file E174191. Two lock nuts are included.
