The ifm IF0309 (IFK2004-AROA/SL/LS100-AK RT) is an inductive proximity sensor in an M12 x 1 threaded housing 62 mm long, for non-flush mounting. Its rated sensing range is 4 mm. The real sensing range is 4 mm ± 10% and the operating distance on steel is 0…3.25 mm. It is a two-wire normally open sensor for 20…140 V AC or 10…140 V DC, with an AC load current of 200 mA and a switching frequency of 25 Hz on AC, or 200 mA and 90 Hz on DC. ifm specifies a fast-acting miniature fuse of 2 A or less in the supply. On other metals the distance is reduced by ifm's correction factors: 0.7 for stainless steel, 0.45 for brass, 0.4 for aluminum and 0.33 for copper. The sensor has a white-bronze-coated brass housing with a natural PBT sensing face, connects through a 1/2-inch connector (C-coded, 3 contacts) and is rated IP67 for -25…70 °C ambient.
