The ifm AC009S (SmartLine SafetyModul) is an AS-Interface control cabinet module. It has two digital safety inputs and two relay outputs, with PNP inputs powered from AS-i. The relay outputs switch up to 6000 mA each with a resistive load, at 24 V DC or 10…240 V AC, and ifm notes that O3 and O4 must be supplied in pairs with the same voltage. On the AS-i side it supports AS-i versions 2.11 and 3.0 with slave profile S-7.B.E. It runs on 26.5…31.6 V DC from the AS-i line, drawing up to 250 mA. The housing measures 93 x 25.4 x 108 mm and is made of PC-GF20. It mounts on a TH35 DIN rail and is rated IP20 for -25…50 °C ambient. ifm rates it to ISO 13849-1 Category 4, PL e and IEC 61508 SIL 3, with a PFH of 4 × 10⁻⁹ per hour.
