The Allen-Bradley 1764-28BXB is the 24V DC base unit of the MicroLogix 1500 controller, with 28 points of embedded I/O. It has 8 standard and 8 fast 24V DC inputs, and 6 relay outputs (2 isolated relays per unit), 4 standard 24V DC FET outputs and 2 fast 24V DC FET outputs; the fast I/O handles 20 kHz, and it is the only MicroLogix 1500 base unit with FET transistor outputs. A complete controller needs a processor, the 1764-LSP or the enhanced 1764-LRP with RS-232 port, and more I/O can be added with Compact I/O modules.
